Arranging Furniture

The case for Arranging Furniture by Jason Dewinetz, waiting to be opened on the Ernie Ingles Reading Room table in Bruce Peel Special Collections.

Okay, yes I’m posting this on a Saturday, but the important point here is that Fridays at the Peel are back!

For any of you who have not already heard me enthusiastically go off the deep end when asked “What’s the Peel?” the Peel is Bruce Peel Special Collections, the University of Alberta Library’s rare book library and research archives. And hands down my favourite place on campus, top five in the city… and a literal treasure trove of examples of what I call the book as performance.

To share today, a book called Arranging Furniture, created by Jason Dewinetz at his fine press “small publishing concern” based in the Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, Canada, Greenboathouse Press. I may come back and add some additional commentary later, but for now a taste by way of a photo gallery.

And I invite you to come visit the Peel if you’d like to see it in more detail!

Happy exploring!
